The former five-star recruit out of IMG Academy and Oak Ridge High School is a Class 9A state champion and former participant of the Jordan Brand Classic, where he currently holds the record over LeBron James for most points (44) and highest field goal percentage (96%) in the history of the classic. Prior to committing to LSU, he was ranked 21 in the 2018 recruiting class and has not only lived up but exceeded to those expectations.

Williams did not disappoint during his career at LSU, where he thrived in his final season, putting up 13.3 ppg, 6.6 rpg, and 1.2 blk. He then made his professional debut to the NBA G League, where he was a member of the Agua Caliente Clippers averaging 4.2 ppg and 4.2 rpg. Lastly, Williams played for the OKC Thunder in the 2021 Las Vegas Summer League
